HML Beagle was a destroyer in the Royal Sky Fleet.
History[]
After the debacle at the Battle of the Skagerrak, the Royal Sky Fleet sought to improve the speed and mobility of their D-class destroyers. Four of these--including HML Beagle--were built before the project was cancelled due to cost. The Perkins airscrew offered up to 20 percent greater airspeed to the Beagle and her fellows.[1]
